PIPE AND FITTINGS

Polypropylene Pipes and fittings:

Polypropylene (PP) is a semi-rigid, translucent polymer with good toughness and weather resistance properties. PP has a density of 0.90 to 0.91 g/cm3 which is amongst the lowest densities for all plastics. PP is characterized by its outstanding chemical resistance and good fatigue strength. Due to its excellent thermal stability, PP can be used successfully even at 100 0 C. It is generally available in three forms for use in pipelines PP- Homopolymer (PP-H), PP-copolymer (PP-C) and PP Random Copolymer (PP-R). Other options in PP include fire retardant grades & electro-conductive grades. PP can also be UV stabilized by use of a stabilizer and can be produced in black color.

Range : 7 mm OD to 500 mm OD

Polypropylene combines all the required favorable properties for modern industrial pipeline constructions, including:

Excellent Chemical Resistance - Increases reliability and scope of use
High Impact Strength - Better durability
High Thermal Resistance - Less vulnerable to weathering
High Stress Crack Resistance - Prevents inching growth of cracks
Excellent Fusion Capabilities. - Ease of installation and movement
Low density, Low weight - Quick installation and transportation
Homogenous structure - Aesthetically superior pipelines
Good elasticity - Reduces number of fittings & eases installation
Non Toxic, Food Grade - Can be used in food and pharma industry
Smooth Inner surface - Low frictional loss & deposition, increased flow
Good Thermal insulation - Excellent for use in hot and cold water systems
Very good fatigue resistance - Possesses integral-hinge property
Excellent dielectric properties - Safe even under water with no performance loss

Elastic Suitable for underground pipes through adjustment to local ground movement : Impact-resistant and tough Unbreakable
Thermal resistant : Smooth internal wall
Weather-resistant/UV resistant : Wear resistant
Insulating : Chemical resistant
Poor heat conductivity : Non-toxic
Highly suitable for welding : Homogeneous welded joints
Prefabrication : Light in weight

Advantages Of Use:

- Long track record of excellent performance, approaching 50 years worldwide
- High impact and breakage resistance
- High resistance to chemicals, corrosion, decaying and abrasion.
- Higher durability & advantage of easy installation and transport without material loss.
- High resistance to direct sunlight (UV resistance for long time from UV resistance agent included in the manufacturing process).
- High Stress Crack Resistance prevents inching growth of cracks.
- Lesser fittings for connection due to higher elasticity: PE pipes are bendable with a radius of approx. 20-25 times of its outer diameter. Excellent elasticity resulting in installation ease. Coils can be made upto 110 mm Dia in several hundred metres long - resulting in lesser joints.
- Lesser vulnerability from earth movements like landslide, earthquakes , etc.
- Availability of different pressure resistance option: PE pipes can be produced resistant to 12 different pressure class from 2.5 bar up to 32 bar.
- Perfect leak proof joints possible - no cracks - no breaks and no deformation.
- Advantage of safe application in irregular surfaces like sea, river passages, low temp terrain.
- Availability of several connection methods (butt welding. electro fusion, push fit etc.)
